5/6/25- Timeline 1960-1975
Create a timeline of events from the years 1960 to 1975. Choose ten events you feel are important. Write a brief statement as to what each event was. Use chapters 16, 17 and part of 18 in the textbook to help guide you, pp. 808-938.
-The ten events should be spread out. Make sure the statements are accurate.
-neatness counts, don't rush it by doing it all at once or at the last minute.
-Use 11x14 paper. 30 points.
-Illustrations are not required but they do help enhance the quality of your paper. If you do these, make them neat and artistic, stick figures and sloppy flags will not earn you any points. This is potentially worth 5 extra credit points.

8/19/24- Connections to Today project
Refer to p. 36 in your text book. You will follow the directions in creating a poster about informing people about Native American Government. This will be based on three things: Government (tribal), Continuing conflicts, Native languages. You may do on any tribe or on Navajo.
This poster project is due on Friday, Aug 23 and is worth 40 pts.
Here is the grading criteria:
20 pts- Accurate and precise information. Does your information project the topic you are presenting?
10 pts- Creativity. Does your poster show illustrations that capture your audience? Is it eye-catching? Is it neat?
10 pts- Conventions. Is the poster free of misspellings, and errors in grammar usage, capitalization errors, and puncuation?

On the same homework sheet, you will view a video, Conquistadors of Southwest. Write three things you learned, two things you want to learn and one open ended question.
