Chapters 17-19 are all based on the same time periods, their topics are just different, ranging from industry, societal changes, and politics.
Go through these three chapters and find one issue that is pertinent to today's national issue. This would be something of course that strikes your interest. "What event from the Gilded Age relates to an issue today?" You will write this as a Document Based Question and your points will be awarded as such.

You will create an annotated timeline related to the content of Chapters 8 and 9 in your textbook, pp. 228-256, 257-288. Since Chap 9 relates to Expansion, Industry and Politics, your timeline should relate to that time period only. Use the scanned examples below to guide you:
This will have import dates, people and events with short summaries.
Have a minimum of 8 pieces of information (3 pts ea), a title (1 pt), and creativity (5 pts). And of course this will be relevant, neat and of course, legible. Make sure every summary has proper capitalization, punctuation, spelling and grammar.
Use 11x14 sized paper in the back of the room.
